God Moves Even on My Worst Day
God Moves Even on My Worst Day
1 Chronicles 11:22 Benaiah was the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man from Kabzeel, who had done many deeds. He had killed two lion-like heroes of Moab. He also had gone down and killed a lion in the midst of a pit on a snowy day. NKJV
Devotional: Have you ever had one of those days when it seems as though everything that can go wrong does? At some point you say, “Can this day get any worse?” I had one of those days one time. I came out of church and discovered I had a flat tire. While I was changing the tire it started raining. Then I was bitten by a spider and a severe rash spread all over my body! Benaiah had a day like that. He was worn out from slaying two lionlike men of Moab and climbed into a pit (maybe to seek shelter from the cold and the snow). He was just getting comfortable when all of a sudden a lion dropped into the pit. He knew he couldn’t climb out before the lion pounced, so he faces the enemy and with renewed strength slew the lion. Even on this incredibly bad day, God helped Benaiah emerge from the pit victorious. He will do the same for you. God can move even on your worst day.
Prayer: God, Help me to trust You even when it seems as though things are not going my way. You know what is best for me, and You are able to move miraculously and powerfully even on my worst day. Give me courage to face that lion that leaps into my pit on a snowy day. I thank You in advance for the victory!
