God Promises to Always Be by Our Side

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you. NKJV

Devotional: The Bible tells us in Galatians 6:9, “Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” We can’t consistently complain about doing the work of the Lord if we want to see the blessings of our efforts. God is always ahead of us and knows what is coming next in your timeline. That’s why we should praise Him in the valley and on the mountain. There is never a time when we are alone. There are, however, times when God is quiet because He is waiting for us to get in the copilot’s seat and let Him be in control. The battle with self is often our biggest challenge. If we are sensitive to the Spirit of God, He will never leave us or forsake us. Don’t be afraid to take a leap of faith and follow God into the unknown. He made a promise that He would always be by your side.

Prayer: Dear Lord, Thank You for being a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. There is a majestic presence that sweeps over my soul each time I think of Your many promises. I can always live in peace knowing that You never leave me alone, even when You are quiet. It is during those quiet times that I can lean on You and trust Your every word. If I step out of the way and completely submit to Your will, I know blessing will shower my world. No matter what tomorrow brings, I will praise the name of the Lord.
